Let's Be Mom-Friends!

Motherhood is so much easier when you surround yourself with moms who get it. Whether or not you are lucky enough to have support like this in your real life, my goal is for you to always feel this way when you listen to one of our podcast episodes! So allow me to introduce myself!

Rachel bio poem (1)
Hi, I'm Rachel Nielson!

I'm a former high school English teacher who always tortured my students on the first day of school by making them write poetry about themselves. (Not kidding!)

These "auto bio poems" are my favorite!

Rachel

AWARE, KIND, SCATTERED, HONEST

Lover of crossing things off her to-do list, catching an unexpected sunset, and condensing meaty research into actionable takeaways for moms

Who feels content with her head on Ryan’s shoulder, flustered when she can’t find her car keys (always), and fulfilled when she hears that her podcast made a difference to someone

Who needs snuggles from her kids, conversations with her kindred spirits, and think-time for work projects every day

Who gives care packages to friends who are hurting, half-birthday cakes to her children, and an over-easy egg to her dog every morning (she's a sucker)

Who fears loss of memories, loss of loved ones, and loss of integrity

Who would like to see a third baby in her arms, a best-selling book with her name on the cover, and every country of the world with Ryan as her travel buddy

Resident of a perfect little mountain town

Rachel's favorite people:
Ryan (1)

Ryan

Rachel met her hunky husband, Ryan, on a blind date! They've been married for 17 years and going strong. He is a pediatric dentist.

Noah

Noah

Noah is Rachel and Ryan's first miracle–he came to them through adoption. He is creative, smart, and oh-so-strongwilled.

Sally

Sally

Sally is named after both of her grandmas! (Yes, both Rachel AND Ryan's moms are named Sally.) She is also a miracle, conceived through IVF.

Sisters

Sisters

Rachel is the middle child in a trio of sisters. They are her very best friends! They talk on the phone almost daily and love each other's children like their own.

Mom (3)

Mom

Rachel's mom battled breast cancer for 13 years and passed away in 2003. She remains an incredibly important part of Rachel's life, and she talks about her often on the podcast.

Dad (1)

Dad

Rachel's dad has always been an integral part of her life, but after her mom died, this became even more true. He visits his daughters and grandkids often and is the world's best "Bapa!"

Fan-freaking-tastic

“Seriously, Rachel is legit. The realest of the real. She's down to earth and not afraid to show up as her authentic self, always. She's hilarious, awkward (in the absolute BEST way), insanely wise and insightful… Give her and her podcast all of the credit for my good-mom moments.”

Meet the Team

These are the amazing moms who help Rachel run 3 in 30 behind-the-scenes!

(And yes, I got them to write autobio poems too!)
