178: Coping Through Infertility // Jenica Parcell

National Infertility Awareness week - Coping Through Infertility | Listen to Top Motherhood Podcast, 3 in 30 Podcast, featuring Jenica Parcell about Coping Through Infertility.

It’s National Infertility Awareness week here in the United States, and this is a topic that I am so passionate about and intimately connected with because my two miracle children came to our family after I struggled with infertility for years.

Today’s guest is Jenica Parcell, an infertility warrior-mama, advocate and a certified life coach who specializes in supporting those who are going through this trial. Jenica has created an infertility community at The Slice of Sun where women coping through infertility can receive and scatter sunshine and support. They have resources like a private Facebook group, newsletter that goes out each Monday, and a new podcast called Fearless Infertility.

Jenica is someone who has truly turned her personal pain and heartache into an opportunity to richly support others coping through infertility, and I am honored to interview her today for National Infertility Awareness Week.

-3 Takeaways for Coping Through Infertility

  1. You get to choose your thoughts about your circumstances. This means that you can choose to frame your experience in any way that feels good to you at that time.
  2. It’s okay to feel negative emotions. Feel it, move through it, and even within those feelings, choose thoughts that will support you.
  3. Be gentle and curious about your thoughts and what results they are giving you. Often, we truly believe that our thoughts are facts, and it takes some gentle curiosity to acknowledge that other thoughts and actions may serve us better.
