013: How to Support those who are Grieving // Rachel Gainer of Rachel Rebuilt

A podcast with specific ideas of what to say and do for those who are grieving

Many of us know friends and family members who have lost precious loved ones.  During those heartbreaking times, it’s so hard to know what to say and do to show our love and support. On today’s podcast, we hear from a mother who has been there and has so much wisdom to share.  Several years…

About the Podcast Host, Rachel Nielson

Rachel taught high school English for five years before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom to her two miracle babies, Noah Atticus, who was adopted, and Sally Grace, who was conceived through IVF.

In her life, Rachel has experienced great sorrow but also great joy--and she loves diving deep into the topics that matter most. Thank you for listening to the podcast and giving her a chance to share her heart.

Thank you Rachel another great podcast. A bedside journal or thought book was given to me to write in and it was quickly filled up in the few weeks following Katie’s death. I have been very blessed with great family and friends to help with grieving the process. Love you Rachel, Elizabeth Stratford

Oh I love you, Elizabeth! I think of you all so often. A journal is a great idea. I am planning to write a letter to Katie–that’s the way I process–but I just can’t yet. I hope to write her a letter every year on Noah’s birthday. I love her and miss her. So much love to you all.
