You've been in the Self-Assured Motherhood program — learning, growing, and becoming the kind of mother you want to be.

Maybe you've been active in Circle, showing up for live calls and connecting with other women. Or maybe you've been doing this work more quietly, listening to lessons on your own time and applying what you're learning in your own way.

Either way, you've been showing up for yourself.

This May, we're gathering in Idaho for two days to go deeper — more teaching, more learning, and a chance to experience this work in person. You'll meet me and Stacey face-to-face, connect with other women who are on the same path, and celebrate how far you've come in your own motherhood.

This isn't a conference. It's not a big event with strangers.

This is for you and your SAM Sisters — women doing the same work, speaking the same motherhood language.

We're gathering in the Wood River Valley in Idaho (my hometown) for a weekend of rest, reflection, and real connection. Friday afternoon, we'll meet for a walk together on the historic Sun Valley bike path and then head to my family's cabin for a welcome reception and dinner. Saturday, we'll gather at the Limelight Hotel for a full day of learning and connection.

Stacey and I will be there the whole time, teaching throughout the retreat. We'll have a keynote session and meaningful classes — the kind of learning you've come to expect from SAM. You'll also connect with your small group leaders and spend intentional time in community.

We'll do some simple, grounding things together too — like yoga, a hands-on art project, or maybe even an optional hike through the mountains. (We're still finalizing details!)

There will be time to talk, to laugh, to sit together over good food and reflect on the changes you've experienced since beginning this work.

The hotel is right by the mountains, close to walking paths, and surrounded by quiet beauty. It's a place where you can slow down. There's space for real conversation — and space to step away and be alone if you need it.

This is about celebrating the mothers you're becoming — each in your own way.

When: Friday, May 1 - Saturday, May 2, 2026
Where: Ketchum, Idaho

Here's what the retreat includes:

  • Welcome dinner on Friday evening at my family's cabin
  • Full day of Saturday programming at The Limelight Hotel — keynote session, meaningful classes, and time with your community
  • Catered dinner Saturday evening, plus light refreshments throughout the day
  • Time with me and Stacey — teaching, conversation, and just being together
  • Optional guided activities we've arranged for you — yoga, art class, and an optional morning hike

What's not included:

Lodging and travel are separate. You'll need to book your own room and arrange your own travel.

We've reserved a discounted room block at The Limelight Hotel (where we will meet all day Saturday), if you'd like to stay there. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle and complimentary breakfast. You could also find your own accommodations elsewhere or stay at the Best Western Kentwood Lodge which is directly across the street from The Limelight. (Please note that the Best Western does not include breakfast or airport shuttle.)

Breakfasts and lunches will be on your own. I'll share my favorite local spots so you can explore Ketchum, grab something with new friends, or just have some quiet time to yourself during our meal breaks. I'm excited for you to explore my town!

For reference, Ketchum is a 2.5-hour drive from Boise, and a 4-hour drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. It would be most convenient to fly into the Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) in Hailey, which is about 30 minutes from Ketchum.

In past years, many SAM Sisters have chosen to drive together and/or to share hotel accommodations. We can't arrange this for you, but you are definitely welcome to use Circle to coordinate with your SAM Sisters.

Good news: Once you get to Ketchum, you won't need a car. The town is very walkable, and we'll provide transportation to my family's cabin Friday night. If you stay at the Limelight, they offer a free airport shuttle, so you can get from the airport to your hotel without renting a vehicle.

I want to be honest about this price and what it reflects.

This retreat takes months of planning, coordination, and care. We're renting space, providing two dinners, and creating an experience that honors the work you've each been doing in SAM and the community you're part of.

The price reflects that reality — and it means we can do this well, not just once, but sustainably. I want this to be something we can offer year after year, without burning out or cutting corners.

If you've been to a SAM retreat before, you'll notice this price is higher than what we've charged in the past. As SAM has grown and evolved, we've realized that underpricing something this important doesn't allow us to create the experience we want to offer you.

If the cost feels like a stretch, I get it. I've been there. Take your time deciding–and if it's not the right season for you to join us, that's okay too. You're still part of this community.

But if you can come, I hope you will.

I mean that.

You've been doing this work — some of it quietly, some of it messily, all of it worth celebrating. And I want to be there with you to mark this moment.

I can't wait to sit across the table from you and tell you that I see the work you're doing–and you're incredible! I want to introduce you to my beautiful hometown and give you space to rest and connect.

I'd love to see you in Idaho this May.
